Malpensa Airport is connected by a four-lane highway to the A8 motorway which runs from Switzerland to Milan, and by a four-lane highway to the A4 motorway linking Milan to Turin and to the Strada Statale 11.
The A8 and A26 provide access to Malpensa Airport from Milan: take the exit for Busto Arsiziothen exit from the Autostrada dei Laghi (A8), and then take the State Road SS336 to Malpensa. Journey time is approximately 45-50 minutes - depending on traffic.
It is best to hire a car at Malpensa airport as it is quite a distance (50km) from Milan but transport links are improving.
If you are driving to Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 there is building work going on for a new hotel and there is no access for private vehicles. Just follow the traffic signs to Multilevel and P3 car parks which are opposite the Railway Station.
The airport can be easily accessed via the State Road SS336 and offers 9,000 parking spaces. Malpensa Airport provides both domestic and international connections with two main terminals which are connected by a shuttle bus service. In both airport terminals you will find several information desks.
